What it is

It looks unusual. It is not a vape.

Sniffybar has two nozzles under a flip lid, and that catches people out — shopkeepers included. So let us be blunt about what is and is not in your hand.

What it is not

  • Not a vape and not an e-cigarette
  • No nicotine
  • No smoke and no vapour — nothing is heated or burned
  • No battery, no charging, no liquid to refill
  • Not a medicine and not a treatment for any condition

What it is

  • A flip-lid case holding a scented plant-based blend
  • Two nozzles inside, so both nostrils get it at once
  • Sunflower seed oil, menthol and natural flavouring — that is the whole list
  • Something you smell — nothing is swallowed or drawn into the lungs
  • Small enough for a pocket, a car console or a desk drawer

How to use it

Three steps, about ten seconds.

A person holding an open Sniffybar near their nose, with the lid flipped back and both nozzles showing
Lid flipped back, both nozzles showing, held just outside the nostril.

Flip open the lid

The lid flips back on a hinge. Inside are two nozzles, both carrying the same blend.

Hold it near your nose

Near, not in. Keep the nozzles outside your nostrils — do not push them in.

Breathe in slowly

One slow breath, then close the lid. The lid is what keeps the scent in.

Why order from us rather than overseas

What the label says

Word for word, this is the warning printed on the pack. It is not us being cautious — it is what the product carries.

  • 18+ only. Not suitable for persons under 18 years.
  • For inhalation only. Do not ingest.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Contains menthol (30%). May cause irritation to eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Use only as directed.

And the practical version

  • Hold the nozzles near your nose. Do not insert them into your nostrils.
  • If it gets in an eye, rinse with water for 10–15 minutes and see a doctor if the discomfort continues.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have asthma or another respiratory condition, or have a known allergy to plant extracts, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using it.
  • Stop using it if you notice any irritation.

Questions people actually ask

If yours is not here, email hello@sniffybar.co.nz and we will answer it properly.

Is this a vape?

No. There is no battery, nothing heats up, nothing burns, and there is no smoke or vapour. There is no nicotine in it. It is a flip-lid case with two scented nozzles inside, and you smell them.

What is actually in it?

Three things, and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet lists all of them: sunflower seed oil (60–68%), menthol (30%) and natural flavouring (2–10%). That is it.

Nothing is swallowed and nothing goes into your lungs — you are smelling it, the same way you smell coffee or a cut lemon.

We are happy to send you the full safety data sheet. Just ask.

What does it do?

It smells good, and it gives you something to do for ten seconds when you want a break. That is the honest answer.

We are not going to tell you it treats anything, because it does not and we are not allowed to say it does. It is a scent product, not a medicine. If you have a health concern, see a doctor or pharmacist.

How long does one last after opening?

The manufacturer’s own figures are:

  • 2–4 weeks if you use it several times a day
  • 1–3 months with moderate use
  • 3–6 months if you only reach for it occasionally

Those are averages, not guarantees. What actually decides it is how often you open it and how quickly you close it again — the scent escapes whenever the nozzles are exposed to air, not only when you breathe in.

Two things shorten it noticeably: leaving the lid off, and heat. A car dashboard through an Auckland summer will flatten a scent faster than a month of ordinary use. A door pocket or a bag is much kinder to it.

Unopened is a different question. Every box has its manufacture and expiry dates printed on it, and the shelf life is two years.

Can I choose my scents in a multi-pack?

Yes. Put your scents in the notes field at checkout. If you leave it blank we will send a mixed selection. If a scent you asked for has sold out we will email you before we pack the order.

Which scent should I start with?

If you want the sharpest, go Cool Mint. If you find mint too strong, go Coconut Smoothie — it is the mildest of the eight. If you cannot decide, the 3-Pack lets you try three for less than three singles.

Is it safe to use while driving?

Take one hand off the wheel only when it is safe to do so, the same as you would with anything else in the car. Do not fumble with the lid in traffic. And do not leave it on the dashboard in the sun — heat is what kills the scent fastest.

Do you ship to Australia or anywhere else?

No. We ship within New Zealand only. Sniffybar is an Australian brand with its own Australian site — if you are outside New Zealand, order from them instead.

Do you sell wholesale?

Talk to us. We hold stock in New Zealand and can quote for a shop, gym, cafe or office. Email trade@sniffybar.co.nz with roughly how many units and how often, and we will come back with a price. Because the stock is already here, there is no import lead time on your side.

Who is behind this site?

FG NZ Trade & Logistics Limited (NZBN 9429053403940), a New Zealand company based in Auckland. We are an authorised New Zealand distributor for Sniffybar, which is an Australian brand. We are not the manufacturer, and the product is not made in New Zealand.
